“The President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Faces Controversy: Dismissal Followed by Lavish Real Estate Purchases and Lucrative Income Revealed”

The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, Arman Dilanyan, was dismissed from his position on December 12, 2020, according to the newspaper “Zhoghovurd.”

In 2022, Dilanyan purchased a new apartment in the Arabkir administrative district. He acquired the property for a total of 54 million 144 thousand drams from “2020 Arabkir” CJSC.

Prior to this, in 2004, Dilanyan bought a residential building in the Vagharshapat community, asserting personal property rights.

Dilanyan had bank deposits amounting to 3 million 200 thousand drams. The balance of his bank accounts was 1 million 451 thousand drams. Additionally, he possessed cash assets consisting of 55 thousand US dollars, 20 million drams, and 30 thousand euros.

From his official activities, Dilanyan received an annual income of 28 million 323 thousand drams. Out of this sum, 19 million 672 thousand drams were paid as a salary from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, while 364 thousand drams were received as a salary from the Russian-Armenian University.

According to the tax return principle, Dilanyan obtained 4 million 199 thousand drams from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, which was used to reduce the remaining balance of his mortgage loan, totaling 42 million 193 thousand drams.
