“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Iranian Official Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Cooperation”

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently met with the Chief of Staff of the President of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, during his official visit to Armenia. Pashinyan expressed his appreciation for the strong relationship between Armenia and Iran, highlighting the importance of high-level discussions and exchanges between the two countries. He also emphasized the significance of mutual understanding in foreign and domestic policies. Pashinyan further mentioned the positive cooperation between the Chief of Staff of the President of Armenia and other representatives.

In response, Abdollahian thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and conveyed his New Year and Christmas greetings. He expressed his satisfaction with the current state of Armenian-Iranian bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the warmth and friendliness in various aspects such as politics, economics, culture, education, and the region. Abdollahian also highlighted the significance of energy transportation projects and other programs in fostering strong ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the prospects of regional cooperation, focusing on the ongoing Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the importance of establishing lasting peace, stability, and development in the region. Additionally, they addressed the issues surrounding transit transportation communication corridors, particularly highlighting the government of Armenia’s “Road to Peace, Cooperation, and Development” program.
