“Iran Embraces the ‘Chess Peace Park’: A Step Towards Stability in the South Caucasus”

Iran’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, has expressed support for the “Chess Peace Park” initiative proposed by the Armenian government. During a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan on December 27, Abdollahian announced Iran’s endorsement of the initiative, which aims to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus and resolve the Artsakh conflict peacefully. He also stated that Iran is willing to contribute to the economic rehabilitation of Karabakh. Abdollahian stressed the importance of guaranteeing peace and security without external interference and highlighted the role of local authorities in achieving this.
