Armenian Prime Minister Assures Displaced Residents of Long-Term Housing Assistance in Jrambarak Community

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan met today with the residents of Jrambarak community who have been displaced from the territories occupied by Azerbaijan. The meeting was attended by Karen Sargsyan, the governor of Gegharkunik province, Vazgen Adamyan, the head of the Jrambarak community, and other local officials.

Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan warmly welcomed the displaced residents and expressed their desire to stay and live in Jrambarak community. He highlighted the government’s efforts in implementing programs to assist those who left the occupied territories and mentioned ongoing discussions about future long-term programs.

“By the end of February, we will finalize our approach to long-term housing assistance programs. It is crucial that families have already found temporary shelter. We hope that the future programs will provide more opportunities, such as increasing agricultural activities in small villages near the houses, and other benefits. One thing is certain: every family should have the opportunity to have their own home in Armenia,” stated Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.

The displaced residents raised various concerns during the second part of the meeting, focusing mainly on technical issues related to the use of assistance programs, the accuracy of documents, and receiving pensions and social support. Minister Suren Papikyan reassured the beneficiaries that their suggestions and opinions would be taken into consideration to improve their living conditions and work arrangements.

This meeting is a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by the displaced residents, providing them with necessary assistance, and ensuring their well-being in the Jrambarak community. The government’s commitment to supporting these individuals in rebuilding their lives and finding a sense of stability is commendable. It is encouraging to see productive discussions and plans being made for the long-term management of these programs, in order to create a sustainable future for the affected families.
