On December 25 at 00:11, the emergency department of the Syunik provincial administration received a fire alarm in the village of Vardanidzor. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Syunik Regional Emergency and Rescue Department, and two fire brigades were dispatched, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

The fire broke out in the central part of the village, specifically in an uninhabited two-story building. The fire was successfully extinguished at 02:19 and completely eliminated by 03:35. The extent of the damage includes about 100 square meters of wooden structures and around 180 hectares of pasture.
