Armenia Takes the Reins: EAEU Leadership Transfers from Russia in 2024, Says PM Pashinyan

Armenia is set to take over the leadership of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from Russia starting January 1, 2024. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, during the Eastern Partnership Summit on December 25. Pashinyan expressed hope for the support and productive collaboration of the EAEU member countries in addressing the important challenges that Armenia is currently facing. It is noteworthy that Armenia’s presidency aligns with the signing of the agreement for the establishment of the EAEU,” he added.
