Iran’s Head of External Operations recently expressed concern over the joint military cooperation between Russia and Arab nations. According to Mehr news agency, the Iranian Ambassador in Tehran received a call from a Russian diplomat, urging the Iranian government to avoid making unfounded accusations against Russia in their announcement. The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that they have sent a letter of complaint to the Russian side regarding this matter. Earlier, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasreen Kanaan, protested the inclusion of three Iranian islands in the statement made during the 6th session of the Russian-Arab military cooperation, as reported by Pars news agency.
