Infamous “Armenian Mafia” Leader Arrested in Saint Petersburg: Faces Extortion Charges and Extradition Drama

The head of the notorious “Armenian Mafia,” Tural Mamadov, has recently been apprehended in Saint Petersburg, marking a significant victory for law enforcement. The RF IC leadership wasted no time in announcing his arrest on their official Telegram channel.

Mamadov is set to face charges of extortion, which comes as no surprise considering his alleged involvement in a series of criminal activities. Just a while ago, he fled Azerbaijan, but his attempts to evade justice were thwarted when he was extradited back to Russia.

In a significant development, Mamadov and his associates (a total of 15 individuals) were detained for their suspected involvement in assaulting immigrants and attempting to extort money from them. Authorities claim that these young people were part of the criminal activities that targeted Russian immigrants, with Mamadov allegedly running a Telegram channel where they openly glorified these sinister acts.

Furthermore, observers have harshly criticized Mamadov for his controversial articles, which have been accused of inciting hatred and promoting criminal behavior. In fact, some believe that he publicly advocated for violence against immigrants, exacerbating an already volatile situation.
