“Foreign Ministers of Iran and Russia Discuss Regional Issues, Strengthen Tehran-Moscow Relations”

During a telephone conversation, the Foreign Minister of Iran, Hussein Amir Abdollahian, and the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, discussed various regional and international issues, as well as the relations between Tehran and Moscow. This conversation was reported by IRNA.

Abdollahian highlighted the negative consequences that have emerged in the region as a result of agreements made by external parties. He suggested that the countries in the region can actively contribute to establishing and promoting security and stability between Iran and Armenia.

Lavrov assured that he will actively participate in the successful implementation of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This agreement will help enhance the security and stability of both Iran and Armenia.

The Russian Foreign Minister also expressed his high appreciation for Iran’s significant and constructive role in maintaining peace and security in the Caucasus region.
