On December 18th, at 21:20, the intensive care center of the “Alaverdi” medical center in Lori province received a 17-year-old girl who had been injured by a gunshot to the head in the Sanahin-Sarahrta district of Alaverdi city.

Surgeon Tumanyan assembled a team in the hospital department to provide care for her.

The patient’s father, who was present at the scene, informed the doctors that he and his daughter had sustained the injuries during a hunting incident.

After speaking with the young people who had come to the hospital near the patient’s house, it was discovered that the father was involved in the hunting accident.

An exchange of fire had occurred between them, which resulted in the 16-year-old patient also being injured and subsequently brought to the hospital with body injuries.

Following the investigation with the young people who were present at the scene, the department determined the cause of the incident and initiated criminal proceedings.

Authorities are currently conducting ongoing investigations to identify any other individuals involved.

The forensic documents and the body of the 16-year-old patient, who is still receiving treatment, have been submitted for examination.
