Armenian President Armen Sarkissian Releases Comprehensive Decree for Environment, Healthcare, and Social Sectors Until 2025

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian recently made a significant announcement regarding the future of the country. In a published official statement, he declared a decree that focuses on various sectors, namely the environment, healthcare, and social fields, until the year 2025. This decree highlights the importance of implementing an integrated policy in areas such as environmental protection, finance, taxation, administration, law enforcement, security, and social welfare. To ensure the successful implementation of this policy, Sarkissian also introduced a series of reforms. These reforms aim to improve the overall state of the environment, promoting liberation and reorganization without any delays or congestion. The decree, with more than 360 articles, proposes amendments to existing laws and addresses the violation of these laws. Effective immediately from the date of publication, the decree must undergo parliamentary discussion and will only be revoked if both chambers reject it.

During a public address on Wednesday evening, President Sarkissian shared the news of the decree’s signing with the nation. However, it is important to note that protests against the authorities have taken place in Buenos Aires, with demonstrators blocking the streets.

The head of the Armenian government has also approved 30 essential reforms. These reforms encompass a range of areas, including the suspension of price hikes, changes to customs regulations, the consolidation of state-owned companies, and the implementation of practical limitations.
