“National Security Service uncovers 48 cases of economic crimes in Armenia, arrests made”

According to recent news reports from the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, a total of 48 cases of economic crimes were uncovered on December 19-20, with 2 of them being previously committed offenses. Among these cases, 8 were related to bodily harm and violence, including the use of force and possession of weapons. Additionally, 5 cases were linked to drug trafficking, counterfeit goods, forgery, and the creation or use of fraudulent documents. There were also 2 cases related to vehicle theft, sale of stolen property, criminalization of freedom, non-compliance with court or official decisions, failure to fulfill state or community obligations, and prevention of illegal construction or demolition.

In regard to the investigations, there have been 6 detainees or individuals under suspicion. The authorities have presented evidence suggesting the possible involvement of 5 persons. Furthermore, in the re-examination of previously committed crimes, one case involving bodily harm, violence, and the possession of weapons was discovered.

Within one day, a total of 13 passports were identified at the border checkpoints of the Republic of Armenia. Interestingly, it was also found that 19 individuals had varying degrees of bodily harm. These developments continue to shape the news landscape in Armenia.
