Armenia’s Ministry of Agriculture Set to Pump 3.5 Billion Drams into Fertilizer Subsidies by 2023, Chief Justice Reveals: Surge in Applications Linked to Cryptocurrency Cultivation on Arable Lands
The Ministry of Agriculture in Armenia has unveiled plans to allocate 3.5 billion drams in 2023 for the subsidy of fertilizers. This announcement was made by Anna Vardapetyan, the Chief Justice of the Republic’s National Television Company.
A total of 172 individuals have already applied for the agricultural subsidy, which is a significant increase compared to the previous year’s 115 applicants. The court has received multiple requests concerning the 32 claims for fertilizers subsidy throughout 2022. The decision to increase subsidies is directly linked to the fertilization of arable lands, with the implementation of electronic wallets and cryptocurrencies.
