“Armenian Representative Highlights Crucial Issues in Yerevan-Baku Agreement: Not a Peace Treaty, but Confirmation of Current Situation”

If an agreement is signed between Yerevan and Baku, it will not be a peace treaty, but rather a document confirming the current situation. This poses crucial issues such as the presence of Artsakh in the structure of Azerbaijan, the presence of Azerbaijani military personnel in Armenian territory, and the potential for a new war initiated by Azerbaijan. Anahit Grigoryan, a representative of the “Armenia” bloc, highlighted these concerns in an interview with NEWS.am.

Baku has made it clear that there will be no compromises. This indicates that Azerbaijan expects us to accept the military presence on roads that hold military significance for us.

Yesterday, the Azerbaijani authorities announced their intention to remove the issue of liberation from the text of the ceasefire agreement in relation to delimitation and demarcation. However, this is precisely the issue that forms the basis for the withdrawal of Azerbaijani forces from Armenian sovereign territory,” the representative stated.

For Pashinyan, the most important aspect is that Armenia can present this document as a peace agreement to the international community,” emphasized the representative.
