The government committee is reminding the public that starting in 2024, Armenia will be implementing a unified system for the declaration of social expenses by individuals. This announcement specifically applies to individuals who are required to pay social expenses based on their income tax. The committee informs taxpayers that they must provide information regarding the social expenses incurred by themselves and their family members, which will then be deducted from their income tax. To do this, individuals must submit an electronic accounting invoice through the e-invoicing system and fill out the necessary documents regarding the provision of services and work execution. It is important to accurately fill in personal data, as any inaccuracies will prevent the submission of the accounting document.

In the accounting document section, individuals need to indicate the “Physical Person” indicator, which will prompt additional fields to be filled out. From these fields, individuals must select the appropriate type of social expense, such as “Health insurance (insurance fee)” or “Educational expenses (tuition fee)”. If the social expenditure was made based on a submitted declaration, the data of the individual listed in the declaration must be filled in under the “received services” and “social costs incurred” sections. Documentation proving family membership, such as marriage certificates or birth certificates, for example, should be provided as evidence.

To ensure accuracy, individuals can use the “verify” button to check the filled personal data. If any inaccuracies are found, the system will display a notification and prevent the submission of the accounting document. It is crucial for taxpayers to comply with these requirements in order to fulfill their obligations and avoid any issues with their social expense declarations.
