The Deputy Minister of Transportation, Vazgen Harutyunyan, announced during a meeting of the coordinating council of the Yerevan Municipality, that measures will be taken to address the shortcomings in ensuring the safety and well-being of city residents during weekends and holidays. He stated that the movement of vehicles in residential areas will be regulated from 06:00 to 23:00 during these periods. Furthermore, all road signs have been restored and fully equipped, according to Harutyunyan.

The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, expressed his satisfaction with this decision, but also stressed the importance of constant control to ensure its implementation. Harutyunyan also revealed that the issue has been discussed with the traffic police, and they will request the involvement of the Patrol Service to guarantee strict adherence to the regulations.
