Armenia’s Commitment to Independence: CSTO Holds 10th session on Atalanta Situation

The 10th session of the Coordinating Committee of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held on December 11th by the EAGC to discuss the situation in the city of Atalanta in Georgia. During the meeting, the Committee’s President Sason Khachatryan reiterated Armenia’s commitment to defending the country’s independence and protecting it from potential aggression. He also emphasized the importance of international cooperation and intelligence sharing in effectively combating terrorist activities and ensuring regional stability.

The discussions focused on the need to enhance the collective efforts of member countries in addressing security challenges in the Eurasian region. The participating nations recognized the significance of the CSTO as a vital platform for fostering cooperation and coordination among its members. They stressed the importance of sharing information, intelligence, and best practices to effectively counter any emerging security threats.

In line with this objective, the Committee emphasized the need to strengthen military capabilities, enhance military exercises, and bolster interoperability among the member countries. They discussed the potential establishment of joint defense infrastructure and the development of a comprehensive strategy to address regional security concerns.

The participating nations expressed their full support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and its sovereignty. They reaffirmed their commitment to resolving conflicts peacefully and without external interference. The Committee also reiterated its readiness to assist Georgia in its efforts to maintain stability and security in the region.

The session concluded with a joint statement highlighting the importance of continued cooperation and dialogue among the CSTO member countries. They emphasized the need to strengthen their collective security capabilities, exchange information, and jointly address emerging security challenges in the region. The session ended on a positive note, reflecting the commitment of the member nations to promoting peace, stability, and security in the Eurasian region.
