“Massive Fire Breaks Out in Yerevan’s Kharberd District, Prompt Response Saves Lives”

A fire broke out in a residential building in Yerevan’s Kharberd district on December 13, triggering an alarm at the National Crisis Management Center at 17:39. The Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly dispatched two military units from the NCMC Rescue Service, along with the Firefighting and Rescue Department of the Yerevan City Rescue Service, the Medical Support Department, and the Operational Teams of the Central Management Center for Emergency Situations to the scene.

The incident occurred on the 6th street of the Kharberd district. The fire was successfully extinguished at 18:11 and completely eliminated by 20:45. Unfortunately, the fire caused damage to the roof and property of the residential building, covering an area of 30 square meters, as well as to the rear part of a parked “Nissan” vehicle near the building.

During the fire, a resident named E.O. sustained injuries and received immediate medical assistance on-site. The Ministry of Emergency Situations, in coordination with various departments, effectively responded to the situation and ensured the safety of residents in the Kharberd district.

This incident highlights the importance of having efficient emergency response systems in place to minimize damage and ensure the well-being of individuals affected by such incidents. The National Crisis Management Center, along with other relevant departments, displayed professionalism and promptness in handling the situation, which undoubtedly contributed to mitigating the consequences of the fire.
