Armenia’s Minister of Economy, Vahan Kerobyan, recently met with Canada’s ambassador to Armenia, Endre Terner, on December 13. The meeting, which was also attended by the chairman of the Ecological Committee, Sisian Poghosyan, was reported by the Ministry of Economy, according to NEWS.am.

During the meeting, Vahan Kerobyan provided an overview of the current state of Armenia’s energy sector and discussed the measures being taken for its sustainable development.

The discussion also focused on bilateral cooperation in the agricultural field, as well as initiatives for environmental conservation and biodiversity in rural and forest areas.

According to statistical data from Armenia’s State Committee, trade turnover between Armenia and Canada for the period of January-October 2023 reached $77.8 million, marking a 2.4 times increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
