“Armenia Paves the Way for Landlocked Countries: Intergovernmental Commission Meeting Promotes Connectivity and Economic Cooperation”

On December 14, a momentous meeting took place in Yerevan, hosted by Armenia, for the intergovernmental commission of landlocked countries. The primary goal of this event was to promote the advancement of these nations and enhance the reliability of their transit and transportation infrastructure, particularly concerning the accessibility of Armenia. Moreover, this international gathering fosters opportunities for closer collaboration in trade, economy, security, and sovereignty among participating countries.

Official statements regarding external activities emphasize the substantial financial commitments required for such high-level meetings. Notably, the anticipated cost for this meeting was 302.88 million AMD; however, with adjustments made to the procurement of goods and technical support services, expenses were ultimately reduced by 219 million 785 thousand AMD.

In today’s session, the government made an additional decision to allocate 120 million AMD for the organization of this significant event.
