“32 Armenian Children Reunited with Families After Three Years: Bittersweet Exchange on the Border”

According to “Hraparak” newspaper, 32 Armenian children were successfully reunited with their families yesterday in the village of Kyan, located on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The children were immediately taken to Yerevan, specifically to the “Muratsan” hospital, where their anxiously awaiting parents welcomed them with open arms. One parent, Narek Kostanyan, a 27-year-old Armenian journalist based in Stepanakert, shared his immense joy after being reunited with his son, whom he had only been able to communicate with via telephone during their three years of separation. Sharing his feelings, Kostanyan expressed, “I am so happy now… the second birthday of my child. We have only heard his voice, we haven’t seen him. We had hope that they would return this year, this hope has been given to us.” Kostanyan also mentioned that there are still ten more prisoners in Azerbaijan, and negotiations are ongoing between the Defense Army of Artsakh for their return. Further information about the exchange will be featured in today’s edition of the newspaper.
