“Secretive Return: Shirak Province Welcomes Repatriates from Azerbaijan as Evidence Mounts”

The return of repatriates to Armenian territory was announced by Shirak province governor Mushegh Muradyan in a meeting with journalists near “Mouratsan” hospital on December 13. Governor Muradyan revealed that the repatriation process has been secretive and closed, catching everyone by surprise. Out of the 26 repatriates who returned, they are all residents of the Shirak province, specifically from the village of Khachapert. The governor emphasized that the fact that repatriates have returned, despite the Azerbaijani government’s lack of confirmation, serves as evidence of their successful repatriation. The repatriates have been gathered near the “Mouratsan” hotel for further investigation.

In related news, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently shared that 31 civilian soldiers from the Republic of Armenia, who were returned from the Azerbaijan-Armenia border in September, will be serving in the medical field in Artsakh between 2020 and 2023. Additionally, one civilian soldier who returned from Lachin in September is already undergoing recovery within Armenia. Prime Minister Pashinyan assured that these individuals will receive priority medical care and will soon be reunited with their families. He also made the names of the returned repatriates public.
