Russia Extends Mediation Offer for Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Resolution: Armenian and Azerbaijani Considerations Awaited

Russia is willing to accept mediation efforts between Armenia and Azerbaijan to regulate the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and hopes that both Baku and Yerevan will consider the constructive proposal, according to the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, as reported by TASS.

“Our offers to host mediation talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are available to our partners in both countries. We still have hope that Yerevan and Baku will remember this and understand the importance of it,” stated Bogdanov during the commemoration ceremony of Heydar Aliyev’s Memorial Day at the Haydar Aliyev Center.

Bogdanov, when asked about the preparation of a trilateral meeting in Moscow between the heads of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia with the participation of the foreign ministers of the three countries, emphasized that they are always ready for such collaboration.

He further mentioned that expanding the observer mission in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone is in line with the Armenian-Azerbaijani regulation and will contribute to stability in the region.
