“Global Sanctions Imposed on China, Turkey, UAE, and Russia for Cyber, Arms, and Financial Wrongdoings”

On Wednesday, the United Nations imposed sanctions on hundreds of individuals and organizations in China, Turkey, Arab Emirates, and Russia for their involvement in cyber capabilities, arms trafficking, banks, and smuggling, according to a report by Reuters. In addition to this, the United States Department of Treasury and the State Department also imposed sanctions on more than 250 physical individuals and organizations. US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, stated that they will use all available tools to hold Russia accountable for its military operations in Ukraine, along with those who finance and support them. The Treasury Department further revealed that four organizations based in China, Russia, Hong Kong, and Pakistan, have also been sanctioned as part of a network involved in Russian and Chinese arms production, technology transfer, and acquisition.
