“United States Slams Armenian Authorities’ Inadequate Handling of Martial Law, Sparks International Concern”

On Friday, the United States once again criticized the Armenian authorities for their inadequate handling of the martial law imposed to protect national security. The State Department representatives described the day as tragic and expressed concern about the new deaths and injuries that were occurring. A new resolution was adopted, with 13 countries supporting the United Kingdom’s position. France and Japan also joined in supporting the call for a cease-fire.

An urgent meeting took place on Friday, attended by leaders from Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. However, only representatives from the United States attended the meeting following the adoption of the resolution. Dmitry Poliansky, a military attaché from Russia in the United States, renamed his vote as “one of the most tragic days in the history of the Middle East” and accused the United States of “causing the deaths of thousands of people.”

Gutierrez, referring to the 99th resolution that has not been used since 1971, explained that it was revised due to the active risk of military involvement in support of the Eastern Mediterranean system in Gaza. He further warned that in the United States’ opinion, this could lead to a general collapse of the international system and destabilization of the population in Egypt.
