“Iran’s Foreign Affairs Minister Discusses Gas Sector Developments in Phone Conversation with CSTO Head”

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and the head of the Central Bank of Iran, Ismail Hanina, had a phone conversation on Friday to discuss recent developments in the gas sector, according to Mehr news agency.

During the conversation, Abdollahian expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Stanislav Zas, for supporting Iran’s efforts to confirm the ceasefire in the gas sector. He described this step as a “reflective and valuable” measure in promoting peace and security on the international stage.

The senior diplomat also informed the CSTO representative about the crucial moment that coincided with consultations between Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and representatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the regional situation.

The head of the CSTO highlighted his organization’s expertise in facilitating joint efforts between Iran’s Islamic Republic and Tehran to combat terrorism and eliminate the socioeconomic basis for terrorism.

“God willing, we will continue to build trust until terrorist activities cease and stability is restored in the region,” he concluded.
