“Armenia’s President Addressed the Priority Issue in the Political Agenda: Domestic Politics Takes Center Stage”

The domestic political situation in Armenia is currently the top priority on the political agenda. While addressing the country’s security concerns, it is important to consider the overall issues at hand. Andranik Kocharyan, the President of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Issues, emphasized the potential significance of including the issue of Artsakh in Armenia’s political agenda, particularly in terms of national security. He also echoed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement regarding allowing critics to leave Artsakh. As a member of the parliamentary committee studying the consequences of the 44-day war, Kocharyan highlighted the efforts made to ensure the security of the people of Artsakh both during and after the war.

On September 19, the government of Armenia did not submit its resignation. It is important for the opposition to refrain from rushing to topple the government as it could potentially harm the territory of Armenia. Samvel Sahakyan, who also shared a similar view during a parliamentary committee session, emphasized that Armenia has consistently prioritized the protection of the territory of Artsakh. Any claim suggesting that Armenia has relinquished its territory is completely erroneous, as stated by Arman Pashinyan.

These updates provide valuable insight into Armenia’s current political landscape and the measures being taken to address both domestic and security concerns. The inclusion of Artsakh in the political agenda is being evaluated based on its potential implications for national security. The importance of ensuring the safety of the people of Artsakh is being recognized by key political figures and efforts have been made to study the consequences of the recent war. It is crucial for the government and the opposition to work together in addressing the challenges ahead while keeping the best interests of Armenia and its people in mind.
