Minister of Education Addresses Concerns Over History Textbook Discrepancies: Changes to be Implemented in Next Semester!

Yesterday, an important meeting took place with textbook authors, along with discussions involving teachers and experts. During a press conference on December 6th, Arayik Harutyunyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, addressed a question from Lilit Galstyan, the representative of the “Armenia” Alliance. The question pertained to the steps being taken to rectify the discrepancies found in the 7th grade textbook, “History of the Armenian People”. In response, the minister shared that preparations are underway for another meeting with the experts who have expressed their concerns.

“As a result of this productive discussion, both technical and substantial changes will be implemented. The updated textbooks will be available in electronic format starting next semester, and adjustments will also be made to the printed versions,” the minister announced.
