“Swift Response by Armenian Rescue Service: Wildfire Near Sevkar Village Quickly Contained and Extinguished”

On December 4th at 19:10, the National Crisis Management Center received an alarm about a wildfire near the village of Sevkar in the Tavush region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia has reported that the situation has been contained and controlled by the Regional Rescue Service of the MES.

The fire was successfully extinguished at 21:37 and completely put out by 21:57. Fortunately, the efforts of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading further, but approximately 40 hectares of vegetation were affected, with around 15 hectares being burned.

Despite the loss of vegetation, this incident serves as a reminder of the dedication and professionalism of the Regional Rescue Service and their commitment to ensuring the safety of the community. The swift response and effective containment of the fire demonstrate the importance of well-trained emergency personnel in times of crisis.
