On December 5th, at 13:02, the regional emergency management center in Syunik province received an alarming call. The caller reported a fire near an old hospital building in the city of Meghri. This incident resulted in one injury among the fire brigade personnel from the local emergency management center.

According to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was successfully contained at 13:27 and completely extinguished by 13:44. The cause of the fire was determined to be a malfunctioning “Komatsu” excavator.

This incident highlights the importance of emergency management centers in promptly responding to critical situations. The injured firefighter is currently receiving necessary medical attention, and the authorities will thoroughly investigate the malfunction of the excavator to prevent similar incidents in the future.
