According to a report from the “Zhoghovurd” newspaper, the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs recently discussed a draft law proposed by the “Armenian Quote” initiative. This draft law aims to allow 58,000 citizens of the Republic of Armenia to obtain Armenian citizenship in order to settle in the Republic of Karabakh or to address the Armenian Genocide issue for any territory.

During the committee’s session, the members will have to vote on whether to accept the negative conclusion of the project that was obtained during previous hearings. Sources from the newspaper have revealed that the Committee members have already received an SMS indicating their support for the project, as well as a proposal to change the schedule of NA sessions.

As for the future of the project and the preparations being made by the “Armenian Quote” initiative, no decisions have been made yet. It appears that there have been some internal issues, as a certain road was redirected to the wrong corridor, which was intended for an area inhabited by ethnic Azerbaijanis.
