“Head Judge Summoned for Questioning Over Power Abuse and Violation of Procedures: Armenia’s Judiciary Faces Turmoil”

The Head Judge of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, is set to face questioning on November 3, 2023, by the Supreme Court of Yerevan. This comes after allegations of abuse of power and violation of judicial procedures were brought against her.

According to reliable sources, it has been discovered during the investigation that the judge had been consistently absent from work without providing any valid reasons. These findings were subsequently forwarded to the President of Armenia on November 27, 2023.

Subsequently, on November 30, 2023, the Ethics Committee upheld the decision on the judge’s disciplinary action and misconduct. The Head Judge then issued a formal reprimand to Anna Vardapetyan on December 1, 2023, in the Supreme Court of Yerevan.

As the situation develops, we will continue to monitor and report on any further updates regarding this case.
