“Alert: 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Philippines, Aftershocks Send Panic – Filipinos and Japanese Await Updates!”

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck the Philippines today, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The epicenter of the earthquake was located 63 km beneath the surface. The tremors were felt in Surigao City, which is 148 km to the east, and in the eastward direction from Bislig City, which is 59 km away.

Prior to this earthquake, the same area experienced several aftershocks measuring 4.6 in magnitude, according to data from the EMSC. It is worth noting that the Mindanao Island in the Philippines was previously hit by a 7.6-magnitude earthquake, resulting in the unfortunate loss of at least one person’s life.
