“Corruption Scandal Unveiled: Prominent Figures Face Disciplinary Action in National Assembly Meeting”

Yesterday, a meeting of the National Assembly was held, during which a group of PPA parliamentary leaders and members of the Criminal Court of Appeals and the Court of Cassation, who are involved in corruption cases related to the construction of the PPA headquarters and the Palace of Justice, were presented for further disciplinary action with the presence of closed session members.

Previously, it was reported that the Supreme Judicial Council of the RA presented one of the highest-ranking judicial advice to the RA Constitutional Court. This is a unique case, led by former Chief Justice Aghvan Hovsepyan, PPA parliamentary leaders Artur Sargsyan, Armen Charchyan, Goris municipality head Arush Arushanyan, former 2nd President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, former Chief of Staff of the PPA Gegham Khachatryan, and others.

The second defendant is Judge Manvel Shahverdyan of the Criminal Court of Yerevan, who is the main participant in the alleged trial of forcing the victim’s mother to make a call. The third defendant is Judge Serguei Marabyan, who was released due to the arrest of former PPA head Georg Simonyan.

The meeting yesterday was attended by about 20-25 members, indicating that the PPA is leading the discussions based on received instructions, on who they will choose. It was revealed that Judge Rubik Mxitaryan, who is at the heart of the judiciary’s reforms, is not doing well.
