“Government’s Decision Provides Housing for Refugees and Earthquake Affected Families in Armenia”

The government has adopted a decision entitled “On the provision of housing for receiving and settling refugees.” Under this decision, they plan to provide apartments in multi-storey buildings for 38 families who are currently living in temporary shelters. Additionally, they have allocated five apartments for families affected by the 1988 Spitak earthquake in Aparan, who have not yet received housing. This also includes families of former disabled servicemen and deceased soldiers who were part of the state protection system of the Republic of Armenia.

According to preliminary data, there are currently 38 families residing in temporary shelters located at Baghramyan 43 and Garegin Nzhdeh 7 streets in Aparan, Aragatsotn province.

To address the housing issue of these families, a new multi-family building with 43 apartments has been constructed at Garegin Nzhdeh 36 in the city of Aparan.
