From November 27 to 29, a delegation from the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Parliament’s delegation for relations with Armenia visited Armenia. The purpose of the visit was to discuss various aspects of external affairs, cooperation, expansion, migration, internal affairs, research, and innovation. The delegation held meetings with high-ranking officials and representatives of the Armenian government to address a wide range of issues. These issues included security, justice, internal affairs, environment, trade, finance, social issues, energy, transportation, digitization, research, and innovation.

During the discussions, the delegation focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. They also emphasized the need to address the concerns and interests of Armenians residing in Nagorno-Karabakh. Additionally, the long-term development of social and environmental sectors in Armenia was a key topic of conversation. The visit also served as an opportunity to reaffirm cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan in regulating relations between the two countries.

On November 29, a joint statement was signed between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia. The statement outlined continued cooperation in the fields of energy integration and infrastructure development. It also addressed small and medium-sized enterprise cooperation programs with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The meeting between the Armenian and EU representatives was held in a constructive atmosphere.
