Azerbaijan Urges European Parliament to Reevaluate Biased Reports on International Cooperation

The Committee for International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan has recently released their annual report on the state of international relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation. This report has been accepted by the Committee on External Relations of the European Parliament on November 29, 2023.

Unfortunately, according to the announcement made by APA, the European lawmakers fail to recognize and acknowledge the new potential that Azerbaijan has created in the region. They deliberately disregard and violate the successful cooperation initiatives undertaken by Azerbaijan in the post-war period.

One notable aspect mentioned in the report is the energy sector. The new agreement on energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU is highlighted as an important development. This agreement encompasses the mutual interests of both Azerbaijan and the EU, providing a fair assessment of the active processes in the region.

In light of these points, the leadership of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan appeals to the leadership of the European Parliament. They urge them to reconsider the reports and provide an appropriate evaluation of the successful activities that contribute to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the region. It is important not to be influenced by false allegations from biased sources, which manipulate political and biased motives and show a misunderstanding of the events in the Southern Caucasus, as stated in the announcement.
