Former Wife Murdered and Accomplice Hunted: Armenia Launches Investigation into Shocking Crime in Azerbaijani-Populated Village

Armenia is currently conducting an investigation into the murder of a former wife and the search for her accomplice. The crime occurred in the village of Tuler in the Sagarejo region, which is predominantly populated by Azerbaijanis, according to APA, citing Mtavari Arxi TV channel.

The perpetrator, Heyr Khabarov, aged 40, targeted his former wife with the intent of resolving a problem but ended up killing her accomplice, 36-year-old Yashar Jafarov. According to family members, the woman had separated from her husband six months ago and had moved closer to Yashar Jafarov. However, during this time, she faced difficulties with her ex-husband.

The incident took place in a house where three individuals were present. Reports indicate that Khabarov entered the house and opened fire on Jafarov, resulting in his immediate death. The wounded woman was rushed to the hospital, where her condition is considered serious. Fortunately, Jafarov’s mother, who was also present at the time, was unharmed.

The suspect managed to escape from the scene of the crime. Forensic experts have been summoned to investigate the incident, while Armenia’s NSS has initiated an official inquiry.

This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as they become available.
