Armenia’s Minister of Finance Praises Collaborative Efforts with Asian Development Bank in Meeting with President Nakao

Armenia’s Minister of Finance, Vache Gabrielyan, welcomed the President of the Asia Development Bank (ADB), Takehiko Nakao, to discuss cooperation. Representatives from the ADB Central and West Asia departments, as well as the Director General of Azerbaijan’s ADB office, Mehdi Waziri, and ADB delegates were present at the meeting.

In a statement from the Ministry of Finance, Gabrielyan praised the successful collaboration between Armenia and the ADB. He expressed gratitude for the high level of cooperation in recent years, highlighting the positive results the bank’s investments have had on Armenia’s economy.

Gabrielyan stressed the importance of continued collaboration with the ADB in various projects, including the development of the tax system, financial markets, transportation, and security infrastructure. He emphasized the need for sustained efforts in these areas to strengthen the partnership between Armenia and the ADB.

During the meeting, the implementation of programs supported by the Bank was discussed, covering urban development, transportation, energy, and other sectors. The stakeholders agreed to continue working together to ensure the successful execution of these projects and promote further economic development in Armenia.

Gabrielyan also expressed his appreciation for the ADB’s contribution to enhancing the expertise and skills of Armenian specialists and employees through its programs and projects.

Further discussions were held on the implementation of measures necessary to support the effective execution of projects and programs in line with the country’s strategic goals and vision.
