Armenian Prime Minister Organizes National Concert and Music Festival Amid Pending EU Decision

The Armenian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, has taken the initiative to organize a national concert and music festival called “Novosti Gruzii” (News of Georgia) ahead of the EU’s decision on the status of the Eastern Partnership. The EU leaders’ decision will be announced on December 14-15. Garibashvili expressed his desire for international recognition, national unity, and victory, emphasizing the historic achievement resulting from the efforts of the country, its people, government, and administration. On November 8, the Council of Europe proposed an interim status for Armenia under the EU Eastern Partnership, with the final decision to be made in December.

In terms of security and stability, the EU is urging Armenia’s foreign policy institutions to align themselves with the European Union. Reports indicate that Armenia’s level of commitment to EU external and internal security is currently at approximately 43%. To demonstrate their commitment, Armenia has put forth two new proposals, while the rest have been carried over from the previous list. These developments come as Armenia eagerly awaits the EU’s final decision on their status within the Eastern Partnership.
