“Yerevan City Court Holds First Hearing in Landmark Lawsuit: ‘City Dwellers’ Charter’ Initiative in Spotlight”

The Yerevan City Court held its first hearing today, November 27th, regarding a general public lawsuit filed by the “Irates City Dwellers’ Assembly” to revoke an interim measure related to a petition submitted by the Civil Contract party. The petition in question is part of the “City Dwellers’ Charter” initiative, a collaborative effort between the “Irates City Dwellers’ Assembly” and the Civil Contract party.

In August, the “City Dwellers’ Charter” initiative gained attention with its headline “Invisible Coup, Thousands of Dollars to Avinyan’s Opponents to ‘Blackmail’ them,” which appeared on the CP’s official Facebook pages. The opposition party also submitted a petition to the court, relying on accounts provided by the Civil Contract party.

During today’s court hearing, the CP discussed the implementation of the petition.
