The events in the gas sector have been attributed to the “violation of international humanitarian law” regarding the identification of the OSCE’s assistance points, according to Filip Lazaryan, the head of the OSCE mission’s assistance and organizing activities department. Lazaryan spoke on the CBS program “Face The Nation” and mentioned that 108 workers were tragically killed near the OSCE in the gas sector. He added that the OSCE has never experienced such a loss of employees before. When asked about the responsibility for the attacks on their facility, Lazaryan stated that the OSCE was forced to take part in retaliatory actions. He further expressed that although they cannot determine exactly who is behind each attack, it is evident that there is a systematic violation of international humanitarian and human rights law.
