“Multiple Cases of Radioactive Pollution Uncovered in Ararat Province, Residents Relocated for Safety”

Several cases of pollution were detected in the administrative territory of Ararat Province and the capital on November 21. It was discovered that radioactive material was being stored and used in the village of Parakar on Yerevanyan Street. A 32-year-old resident of Nor Aresh was found with a package weighing approximately 8 grams, which he claimed contained radioactive material. As a result of this finding, officials decided to transfer and relocate the residents of Parakar in Yerevanyan Street. Two individuals, aged 37 and 34, were also found with a package weighing 5 grams and a broken package containing three radioactive cartridges weighing a total of 8.84 grams. They confirmed that the materials were indeed radioactive. Through ongoing operational-investigative actions, it was determined that on November 21, radioactive material had been disposed of in the Musaler village area of Yerevanyan Street. The 60-year-old resident of the capital who inhabited the area was subsequently found, transferred, and relocated to the department of radiation protection. The individual admitted to disposing of the radioactive materials near the residences of three people on the previous day. The ongoing forensic investigation has resulted in the evidence being sent to the department of radiation protection. Conclusions will be reached after the analysis.
