“Millions Stolen from ATMs of VOF Bank: Suspect Apprehended in Dramatic Arrest”

On November 23rd, the Center for Management of Monetary Operations of the Central Bank of Armenia made a shocking announcement. They reported that around AMD 2,300,000 had been stolen from one of the ATMs belonging to VOF Bank in the city. The investigation, which involved employees from the Departments of Monetary Operations in Ararat and Armavir provinces, revealed that a 44-year-old resident of Lernagog village in Ararat province was responsible for the crime. The suspect was apprehended on November 24th at 23:50 on Jivany Street in the city of Armavir, and was subsequently transferred to the Department of Monetary Operations for further investigation.

The suspect’s cash and related documents were presented at the Vedi police department. Here, a portion of the stolen money was recovered. The investigation was coordinated by employees from the Departments of Monetary Operations in both Ararat and Armavir provinces.
