Former Defense Army Commander Invites National Assembly War Monitor to Security Council Meeting

The former commander of the Defense Army, Samvel Babayan, has invited the 44-day war monitor of the National Assembly, Kristine Poghosyan, to the Security Council, according to “Freedom.” Poghosyan is said to be a member of the Security Council. The meeting of the Security Council, initially scheduled for November 29, had been postponed.

The President of the Security Council, Andranik Kocharyan, announced on Friday that Babayan expressed a desire to attend the meeting. Babayan is expected to participate in the work of the Security Council as a non-staff adviser after its formation.

Initially, Babayan had agreed to participate for a short period of time. However, he cited overwhelming workload as the reason for his withdrawal. He stated, “There are rules of the game. If you don’t adhere to the rules, you won’t achieve results. If someone is seeking personal fame, they won’t have my support.”
