Famous Former Head of Armenian Organized Crime Group Found Dead in Moscow Apartment

Former head of the Armenian organized crime group, Andranik Asoyan, and his associate Luidmila Ivanova, were found dead in a Moscow apartment on Sunday. The raid was conducted by law enforcement authorities, and the information was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.

According to reports, Asoyan established the organized crime group in Moscow over 15 years ago. Their activities included extorting money from businessmen in Vatutinki and managing trade agreements related to alcohol and products. The group operated under CJSC “Christina,” as stated by the channel.

The stolen goods from these illegal activities were sold at lower prices, and the profits were not distributed among the group members and distributors, as informed by the Telegram channel.

In 2008, while Asoyan was serving his eighth year in prison for crimes and connections to organized crime, the incident took place. The trial against him was conducted by the district court of Vatutinki in Moscow. Asoyan’s actions were classified under Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code, which entails crimes committed by an organized group with premeditated agreement.

According to preliminary information, Asoyan and Ivanova were tenants of the apartment where they were found dead. Witnesses have reported hearing gunshots in the area in the past few days. The investigation by Moscow authorities is still ongoing to uncover all the details surrounding the incident.
