By the morning of November 24, the disturbances had subsided. It is believed that the attacker was an extremist migrant. In Parnell Square, where the incident took place, a crowd had gathered on the evening of November 23 and attacked several police officers, using petrol and causing at least one injury. Additionally, they damaged at least one police vehicle. Authorities later detained 34 individuals involved in the riots.
