“Pashinyan Sets Course for National Anthem Change: Armenian Prime Minister Calls for Reevaluation of State Symbols”

The issue of changing state symbols in Armenia has been a constant topic of discussion at both the official and media levels. During a recent live interview, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the significance of state symbols and the need for their proper interpretation. He acknowledged that there have been concerns regarding the structure of the national anthem’s lyrics and the interpretation of state symbolism. Pashinyan expressed his belief in the genetic significance of words and their role as the immune system of scientific knowledge. He also mentioned the modifications made to the anthem during the Third Republic and the challenges encountered in attempting to make further changes.

Pashinyan admitted that he, too, has attempted to contribute to the discussion surrounding the anthem and symbols but has not been successful thus far. He stressed the importance of considering tradition and history when contemplating changes to these national symbols. The anthem and state symbols hold a special place in the hearts of the Armenian people, and any modifications should be approached with care and respect. Pashinyan’s remarks emphasize the ongoing dialogue and efforts to find a balance between honoring tradition and ensuring the symbols reflect the aspirations and values of the nation.
