China Stands Firm: “No Risk” in Fukushima Contaminated Water Dump into Pacific Ocean
China’s determination to redirect contaminated water from the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant to the Pacific Ocean remains confirmed and unchanged, according to Ma Ning, the official representative of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. In a statement, Ning affirmed China’s support for Japan’s decision to discharge the radioactive water into the ocean. “This is our definite position, and it remains unchanged,” said Ning. He also reassured that the disposal of contaminated water poses no risk to the overall health of humanity, the marine environment, or global security.
