Armenian Prime Minister Accepts European Bank’s Offer for Road Development, Led by Tea Melikadze

The Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, has accepted the offer of reconstruction and development from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by Tea Melikadze. This announcement was made by the “Transport Corridor” Foundation. The meeting included the participation of Narek Zulalyan, the head of the foundation, Arthur Sargsyan, the director of the construction program for the Sinzha-Kajaran section of the North-South Road Corridor, and Lilit Dilanyan, the head of the foundation’s social department.

It is worth noting that Tea Melikadze, representing the EBRD in the Sinzha-Kajaran section of the road corridor, met with the Armenian side for the first time during this meeting. Tea Galachyan, representing EBRD, expressed her hopes for successful cooperation. The representatives from the “Transport Corridor” Foundation discussed the implementation phase of the program for the Sinzha-Kajaran section of the North-South Road Corridor, which was presented to all participants.

It is important to remember that the financing of the program for the Northern-Southern highway includes the construction of a 60 km road from Sinzha to Kajaran. The funding will be provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, the European Investment Bank, and with the financial assistance of the Government of Armenia.

That concludes the news update from Armenia.
